Two Speeds of Heating for Increased Comfort

The two stage furnace provides two stages of heating with low and high fire. Think of this furnace operation much like city driving and highway driving. When the furnace starts it will run on low fire, like city driving, most of the time. While the furnace will run longer than a single stage furnace, the longer cycles distributes the air in your home more evenly. Frequent and greater air distribution results in increased comfort. As the temperature drops outside and the furnace needs to produce even more heat, the furnace will switch to  high fire. The second stage of high fire is much like highway driving with cruise control. Two stages of heating will provide more efficiency and comfort, as it will only operate at full capacity when necessary.
